The project fulfils a diverse programme within a unique, compact building. The structure is shaped by two sets of Cartesian axes: the North-South axis provides the main orientation and allows exposure to the sun to be controlled with porches, while the boundaries at a 45º angle represent another set of axes that combine with the former.
The resulting angular yet Cartesian geometry offers the possibilities of a tangram and gives the interior and exterior spaces a more dynamic feel.
A stone base creates cohesion between the building and the ground around it and the white façade facing the sea sets off the blue sky.
